The Betty Ballasch Swim Scholarship
Each year Bluewater Barracudas Swim Team offers $1,000.00 in scholarships to eligible high school graduates in honor of Betty Ballasch, who coached the team from 1990-2003.
Please read the following requirements and the procedure. If you feel that you are eligible, you may download the application located at the bottom of this page.
Congratulations to Ross Spock (Emory University, Georgia) , David Stevens (Indian River State University, Florida, Linsi VerSteeg (West Chester University, Pennsylvania) & Peter Braseth (Grand Valley State University, Michigan). They will share the 2010 scholarship
Eligibility

Be a graduating senior.

Be a currrent member of the Barracudas with a minimum of 2 seasons with the team.

Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on an unweighted scale.

Have the recommendation of his/her Guidance Counselor and/or Swim Coach.

Have made application to the registrar of an institution of higher learning.
Procedure

Deadline for application is February 28, 2010. Applications must be postmarked or turned into the Bluewater Barracudas Swim Team no later than this date.

The student must complete Part I and Part II.

The Guidance Office completes Part III of the application (If Applicable).

The Swim Coach completes Part IV of the application (If Applicable).

The student must attach a copy of their high school transcript to the application.
